e-CAB voting at Saiyedana Community Center in Dhanmondi

Voting for the 2022-24 Executive Council Election of the E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) will be held on June 18 at Saiyedana Community Center, Road No. 9, Dhanmondi. According to the e-CAB Secretariat, polling stations have already been booked. Although, how the expenses of polling day will be realized has not yet been finalized. However, voting will continue uninterrupted from 10 am to 4 pm on the day of polling with the spontaneous participation of all voters. Out of the 31 candidates participating in the election, 795 voters will cast their votes to elect the director with a cross (x) sign on the ballot paper next to the name of the candidate on the ballot paper. According to the election code of conduct, each voter has to vote for a total of 9 candidates. Neither more, nor less; if the number is not maintained, the ballot paper will be considered void. According to the Election Board, the voters who have old pictures causing ambiguity or who may have difficulty in identifying them or whose pictures have not been published in the voters list will be able to cast their votes at the polling booths by showing their national identity cards or a copy of that. Those whose pictures were not printed due to technical errors in the final voter list and those errors which were detected. Modified copy has been made by correcting it. In that case, according to the election rules, the revised voter list will be collected by the candidates from the Election Board for 2,000 (two thousand) Taka. The elected candidates will have to collect and file nomination papers on June 20 for the distribution of posts among the winners. The results can be objected on June 21. The full results will be announced on June 23 after hearing the objections on June 22. The fourth executive committee will take charge on June 24.
